Our Chapter of EWB-USA

Engineers Without Borders-USA (EWB-USA) envisions a world in which every community has the capacity to sustainably meet their basic human needs. As a student chapter of this international NGO, we are a mix of undergraduate and graduate students from different departments at UCSB that are applying our diverse skillsets towards building both relationships and infrastructure that enhances global communities.

We develop responsible leaders to represent our university abroad. Our leaders are citizens that serve local, national, and international communities. We collaborate with professional engineers to design our projects for communities. We financially support our work through fundraising.

The UCSB chapter of EWB-USA has teams currently working on projects in Rwanda, Panama, and around the Santa Barbara area. In the past, we have also worked on projects in Peru, Kenya, and Mexico.

EWB-USA is a national 501(c)(3) organization
